Game Three

Now we're talking Grand Rapids Hockey! Game three was dominated by the Griffins from start to finish, out shooting the team from Connecticut better than 40-20 and posting a 5-2 victory.

The Griffins came out skating well, but CT was able to escape the first period with the score tied 0-0.

Robson opened the GR scoring in the second, burying a nice setup from Rennaker.

The second goal of the period came around 8:25 after a hard fought battle in front of the crease with Hill putting the puck into the back of the net.

Our third goal came with about 7:00 remaining as Mills beat the keeper on an assist from Robson.

CT scored twice in the period and GR takes a 3-2 lead into the final period.

The third period was all ours. Chopp working hard in front of the net slides a pass through to Robson for his second goal of the game.

Finishing off the CT team, Gagnon takes the assist from Rabach to complete the scoring, as the Griffins post a 5-2 win over the previously unbeaten Connecticut Wonderland Wizards.

We are moving on to the quarterfinals as a two seed and will start single elimination play tomorrow at 1:45...WAY TO GO GRAND RAPIDS!
